Well hello everyone! If you are like me, you are sitting at home going CRAZY. My kids are fighting, complaining of being bored and real estate? Well most people would rather stay home than buy houses. Of course that didn’t happen until interest rates shot back up through the roof.

Well it’s happened! I finally finished the guest bathroom. Ish. Woo hoo!

I started this one a few months ago. The bulk of the work was done fairly quickly - it was the finishing touches that took so long.

Because I haven’t blogged in forever, I forgot to take a before pic of the bathroom. Luckily there was one in the listing.

Hi everyone! I am stuck at home waiting for some work to be done on my guest bathroom so I thought I would put together an update. I’ve been working on the dining room, kitchen, my office and the guest bathroom but lets start with the dining room!

I decided to do a wall treatment in the dining room to give it a little flavor.

It’s been busy around here. Between selling houses and raising kids I’ve managed to find some time to actually get some work done around the home: the office is almost completely done, almost all of the doors downstairs are painted and have new hardware and the guest room is coming along. But my favorite project so far has to be in the kitchen. I know, you are shocked.

A lot of you have been asking for a home tour. I reached out to my builder to see if I could use the public photos because 1. They really aren’t great and one of the reasons I think the house didn’t sell and 2. I’m lazy and using their photos lets me get them up to you sooner. :-)

I’ve been waiting for a bit to write this post and it’s going to be a long one (you’ve been warned). My last post (in April!!!) was about the addition we wanted to do to our home.

Hi everyone! As I'm sure you've seen by the lack of posts I've been completely MIA the last year or so. Real estate has been CRAZY busy (which is a blessing) and I've put all of my effort into it. But at the same time, I've done so much work the last few years that I didn't have much else to do, or do I?

Well hello everyone!!!! Long time no blog post! It has been the craziest year and a half! As most of you know, I became a real estate agent in March of 2016. Since then, things have been a whirlwind. I've been very blessed to be extremely busy but with being busy comes sacrifices and, unfortunately, the blog was the sacrifice. Luckily, I have figured out how to manage the business and have found time to start blogging again.

I know what you are thinking - why are you thinking about your deck - finish your master bedroom!!! I am, I am, I promise!

The truth is, when we decided to stay in the house I knew the deck had to be redone. It's my favorite part of the home and something I've wanted to tackle for years. After all - when we bought this mess of a house 7 years ago it was because of the decks and the view. The rooms were a bit small, the playroom was an odd shape and the finish out was terrible. But the view. The view was (and is) amazing. And, after all of this time, I never get tired of the view. I spend at least some part of my day - every day - on the back deck.

I have a confession to make - I listed my house for sale 2 weeks ago. I fell in love with a house I showed my clients and convinced myself (and family) we needed to move. I got to work wrapping up projects so we could list it. Everything was finished, we took pics and put it on the market. The first 2 showings received incredible feedback from the buyers and both were interested in buying it. Instead of getting excited, I felt a little bummed.
